Fruit Extract

Juice is extracted or pressed from the natural liquid found in vegetables and fruits. Botanically, fruit is the structure resulting from the growth of a flowering plant, and its morphology varies substantially, as does the plant tissue consumed. There are approximately nine categories of fruit/vegetable types: pome fruits (such as apple), citrus (such as orange), stone fruits (such as peach), soft fruits (such as grapes), amorphous fruits (such as guava), fruit vegetables (such as melons), leafy flower and stem vegetables (such as rhubarb), tree nuts (such as cashew), and tropical and subtropical fruits (such as mangosteen or durian). In historical treatises, fruits such as melons and grapes are used as sizing materials.
